Continuing through Spring

Springtime in the Northwest can be really beautiful.  Don’t try to make sense of the picture dump - just enjoy them for what they are.

A pineapple, for example, can be quite a cute travel companion.  With our own little one’s hair growing quickly, she’s soon to have a spout much like this pineapple topper!

When not entertaining pineapples, Eila keeps herself busy by keeping house.  Clearly, she’s destined to be a baker - though I should perhaps help her to understand that neither cakes nor ice is made on the couch.  I think it shows how often these fun to pull out items are used in our home.

Daffodil Parade!  Hooray for a beautiful, sunny day to cheer on the local junior high and high school bands.  It’s also particularly nice to have them march right by your own front door.  No traffic to navigate!

Puyallup Spring Fair!  You can’t live blocks away from the fairgrounds and not capitalize when the fair comes to town - especially on such a beautiful spring day!  The wiser Wilhoits even came down to spend the afternoon with us and reminisce a bit about their own childhoods at the fair.

First and foremost on the “to do” list was fair food.  Onion burgers, corn dogs, lemonade, and scones, of course!  Eila was a BIG fan of the scones.

She wasn’t quite as sure about the kid-sized tractors, so she got some help from Dad to scoot along the track.

Finally, what better way to finish off such a fun day than with a quick play at the park.  Check out the Olympics worthy dismount at the end!

  1. Great photos! There is magic in "fair food". I fully understand why Eila likes the scones. Nearly everything at a fair is tasty (but not overly heart-healthy). She is not quite sure how to peddle a John Deere pedal tractor-- yet--but she is growing very nicely and will get her chance at another fair. Thanks again, and Keep Smiling!
